Automated Calculation

One of the most important modules for cost calculation, procurement and production planning is cadwork List. The module is an indispensable basis for the subsequent shop drawing exports with production numbers. All components are examined for the same geometry and all desired attributes, position numbers are calculated and assigned and then exported in freely configurable lists.

Comparing Criteria That Matter to You

The cadwork list differentiates between Part, Production and Assembly list. All elements and data relevant for the cost calculation, procurement and production planning will be compared. This includes all timber beams and panels as well as steel assemblies, concrete foundations and obviously all fasteners and hardware. Next to all the geometry data the generated lists can contain all existing attributes like name, group, material, SKU codes or weights. You can even include processes information like assigned end types, number of processes, etc.

Customizable

The final list layout is freely customizable and various standard formats for your individual list exports can be predefined and saved. Importantly, all lists can be exported in other formats such as Excel, Comma Separated Values or as a text file. This allows seamless transfer to your Excel calculation spreadsheet or communication with your ERP software as an example for manufacturing or stock management.

Beam Optimization

The integrated length optimization feature ensures that material sold by fixed lengths is ordered to match the actual beam dimensions as efficiently as possible. A good example here would be the required pack size and length of standard framing. The available stock lengths can be entered by a cross section, length and quantity, or the length optimization can calculate optimal lengths automatically according to defined parameters such as length increases, price, saw kerf, etc. Additional nesting features are available in the 3D module.
