Share Your Models

With cadwork you can export any of your 3D model in HTML5 format. These so-called WebViewer files can be opened in any current browser such as Edge, Chrome or Firefox with a double click. This means that you or your customers do not have to install or purchase any special software. In addition, the 3D model can be placed exactly at the desired construction location in the satellite image of Google Maps. All you need to do is enter the exact address or coordinates in the project data of your 3D file or in the WebViewer file itself. Now the fascinating tour or flight through the 3D model can begin. Before exporting the WebViewer file, you specify the rights of the end users. This includes things like prohibiting measurements in the model, enabling flight/walk-through mode or allowing the use of VR glasses for the maximum realistic experience.

Elements Hierarchy

The cadwork WebViewer can also be extremely helpful for internal use, for example, in production. You can define up to six hierarchy levels in the form of attributes before exporting, according to which the components can then be shown and hidden in the WebViewer. For example, this could be the individual floors as the highest hierarchy level and the individual walls on the floors as the second hierarchy level. This means that everyone in production can have the exact wall that is currently being produced on the table displayed in the viewer with just a few clicks.

BIMteam

The next step from WebViewer is BIMteam, cadwork’s cloud solution for a 3d model viewer and much more. Instead of sharing the html file, you can upload the model directly from cadwork 3D to the cloud and share a link to the model and project folder instead. BIMteam allows attachment and overlay of IFC files. You can save any other project relevant information to the project folder on the cloud, so everything is accessible and viewable from one place. BIMteam keeps track on revisions so you are always up to date with the latest information. One interesting function is the direct link to your total station for As-built and Site stakeout surveying used by many builders and general contractors.
